Unsettled Nerves

Today is a big day ... we will finally have the opportunity to meet Dr. O'Regan, a medical oncologist at Emory who specializes in triple-negative breast cancer. While I feel somewhat relieved, I am also really nervous. Making decisions and finalizing a plan is exciting, but it means the beginning of treatment ...

With treatment comes the side effects of chemotherapy and surgery ... all of which are really scary and extremely overwhelming. Hopefully, my body will respond well and I will find relief in this phase of the journey ... I am praying for strength ...

Isaiah 43:2,3 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

Baby...you are the most healthy, fit person I know. With your positive attitude and your physical strength...you will do just fine. Literally millions less prepared than you have gone through this and have done very well. One step at a time. I love you.
